Elizabeth Lorayne is an artist and an award-winning author and publisher of empowering children’s books. As the granddaughter of Admiral Walter T. Griffith and having spent her own childhood sailing and exploring the shorelines of the Pacific Northwest, Elizabeth has developed a deep respect, curiosity and love for water, history, exploration, and creativity.

She always imagined herself living in New England and after starting her family in New York, where Elizabeth attended The New School, they made her dream a reality and moved to Newburyport in 2014. She has since exhibited her fine art at Middle Street Foods, Indigo Art Studio, and The Walsingham Gallery. Elizabeth serves on the Custom House Maritime Museum’s Programs and Exhibits Committee.
