Come to First Friday to hear our own Jack Santos (Board of Directors) talk about a special decade in Newburyport’s history – and one that set the stage for our maritime growth for 200 years. Abraham Wheelwright was one of the longest-tenured leaders of the Newburyport Marine Society, and much happened under his term as vice president and president, between 1814-1830. Find out what, and why the Marine Society and the Maritime Society are different and both so special to all of us in Newburyport.
