Featuring Our Docents: A special occasion to learn about the museum from the perspective of our docents!

Did you know The Custom House Maritime Museum offers free public tours of our magnificent historical building with your admission? All you have to do is ask when you arrive or reserve ahead of time and you will be assisted by one of our knowledgeable docents who will dazzle you with amazing stories, facts and anecdotes as they guide you from room to room and display after display.

Did you ever wonder what our docents actually do? Are you curious as to how they’ve acquired such knowledge? Did you want to know what it takes to be a docent?

Join us Friday, September 8th to hear answers from all these questions and more, directly from our incredible panel of docents. They will each tell you their personal reasons why they love being a docent and share with you their experiences over the years. You will have a chance to ask your particular questions. Please come and be ready to laugh, to be entertained and intrigued and most of all have fun!
