The October First Friday Night Lecture will be given by Emily Hoffman. Her presentation “Strange & Haunting Tales of Newburyport, Part 2” is an intriguing mixture of stories about paranormal activity and how those stories may connect to local history.
Emily retired as a social worker in 2012 and moved to Newburyport in 2013. She has been volunteering at CHMM since 2014 in a variety of capacities. Some of you may remember her as a wine server at Friday Night Socials. Others may know her as a docent at CHMM. And some of you may have attended her first lecture in the fall of 2019 entitled “Strange & Haunting Tales of Newburyport”.
The upcoming lecture is a sequel to her first lecture and is not meant to promote a belief in paranormal activity but rather to entertain the audience with stories and possibilities. Join us that evening to hear some ghost stories and how they may connect to the past. Make your own conclusions. Are these stories coincidental or the result of the paranormal activity?
