Join us on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 6:30pm on the Custom House Museum YouTube Channel (click the icon in the footer) for our continuing series: Virtual First Friday! This month we are delighted to have Greg Colling, founding partner of Merrimack Design Architects, LLC.
Greg has lectured on period styles of architecture, church and meeting house architecture in Salisbury and Amesbury, Massachusetts and led walking tours, of Newburyport, Massachusetts. He organized a symposium on the New England Custom Houses of architect Robert Mills, which led to Merrimack Design providing preservation services for the restoration of Mills’ 1835 Custom House in Newburyport, home to the Custom House Maritime Museum, and subject of this talk.
Colling is a member of the Historic New England Council and Preservation Committee, the Boston Society of Architects Historic Resources Committee, serves on the Strafford Vermont Planning Commission, the Strafford Townhouse Advisory Group, the board of the Friends of the Morrill Homestead, and has taught design at the Boston Architectural College and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He received his Masters of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and Bachelors of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College.
