Newburyport Maritime Days

The Custom House Maritime Museum is very proud of Newburyport Maritime Days, our signature annual event.

We have hosted four tall ships over the course of four years. Beginning 2016 with the 17th century Spanish Galleon replica of Nao Victoria’s El Galeon graced our harbor, Followed by schooners: Adventure and Alabama out of Gloucester, MA. and most recently (in 2019) the Nao Santa Maria, another Nao Victoria replica.

Newburyport Maritime Days include ship-based welcome parties; themed fundraiser events; business sponsored parties; pirate events for children; tours for seniors citizens; school tours; individual tours; and the Newburyport Collection, a marketplace showcasing Newburyport artists and businesses.

It is our great honor to bring such visitors, education and excitement to our community.

Sea-to-Table

Many of you have heard of farm-to-table, but in 2017 the Custom House Maritime Museum introduced a Sea-to-Table.

Sea-to-Table is a wine and dining experience that showcases the fine catches brought in by local fishermen (and the stories that accompany it) and prepared by our talented Newburyport chefs.

Served under an enchanting decorated sail cloth tent on our beautiful lawn overlooking the Merrimack River, our Sea-to-Table dinner is the perfect place for good food, fun stories, and great camaraderie.
