“My husband and I truly had our dream wedding at the Custom House Maritime Museum in June 2021. The Museum staff… and their event planning team (Pat Cannon and Jacqueline Chauvin), helped create a beautiful experience for all of our guests and were very accommodating.
Getting married at this historic site, which is situated by the boardwalk on the Merrimack River, provided a memorable experience for us and our guests. We held our cocktail hour inside the museum (being sure we were respectful of the historic artifacts and displays), and our reception and lawn games were held on the lawn behind the museum in a gorgeous set-up by Sperry, where views of the river and sunset delighted the eyes and senses until nightfall.
From the beautiful aesthetics of the museum and river, to the stunning architecture and natural beauty of the City of Newburyport framing the scene around us, this is truly a jewel of a venue to get married or celebrate a special occasion. We feel so honored to have had the opportunity to celebrate our wedding at the Custom House and we hope future couples get to experience the same magic of our day.”
