“Creating Through the Elements”

Sculpture by Sarah Seabury Ward

September 9 – October 26, 2025

The public is invited to attend the opening reception on September 12 from 5pm to 7pm.

Sarah Seabury Ward has gathered a series of work that spans a decade of creativity. These sculptures are inspired by the natural landscape
and the animals that live within. Her sculptures capture the playfulness of animals in a lyrical and intimate fashion. Sarah meticulously crafted each piece in her studio and has worked in multiple mediums including carving wood and stone, shaping clay and glazing ceramics, casting glass and bronzes.

The Community Gallery opened in December 2024. The gallery is located in the museum and provides artists of all ages and accomplishments to display their work free of charge for the enjoyment of the public. Themes should include a maritime and marine focus and exhibits run approximately 4- 6 weeks.
