“TPC is thrilled to be returning to The Custom House Maritime Museum for our second season:
BOW, the Best Of Workshop Staged Reading Series” says Executive Producer, Jack Rushton,
co-founder of The Playwrights Collaborative. “We’ve been hard at work creating new and
exciting plays and this year we are adding two full production shows on May 20 and 21 and a
special Mother’s Day program on May 14 when Mom’s get in for free”
“All proceeds benefit The Custom House Maritime Museum”, continues Jack, “Their upstairs
Gallery is spacious and has the acoustics of a music chamber; the perfect venue for our
incredible actors. Each weekend we’ll have seven great plays from seven terrific Playwrights,
featuring the finest talent the North Shore has to offer. This is not-to-missed theater. Please join
us in the fun.”
The Playwrights Collaborative is a group of regional Playwrights and has been meeting since
2012. “We gather to hear and discuss new theatrical work and are close colleagues who trust
each other’s opinions”, says Camille Garro, long-time TPC Playwright “We are all in partnership,
the goal being to make our new work as compelling as possible. And we’ve had a lot of success
too, with at least 60 of our comedies and dramas being produced at more than 250 Play
Festivals worldwide. If you love theater, you’ll love BOW”.

Executive Director of The Custom House Maritime Museum. “As a museum we are home to so
many facets of Newburyport’s history and through a variety of programming we expand our
vision by bringing our shared human experience to Newburyport. The living art of this Play
